CF 480 – Tall Ships Adventures - Chilterns Round The Island Weekend
If you fancy being part of an 18 strong Crew sailing a 72 foot Challenger Yacht taking part in a four yacht race around the Isle of Wight, then this is the weekend for you!
Club Skipper, Neil Dunnet and Club Members Mike Seaton and Fiona Walker, took part last year and were on the winning yacht!
It really is a great experience to sail something so big and heavy and suprisingly fast too. You only have to do it once and if so, do it this year!
The RBYC has in the past chartered some of the Challenger Yachts for an official club weekend. This is NOT a RBYC event and is not covered by RBYC insurance but you will need to accept the TSYT insurance when you book.
This event is a is a Friday to a Sunday afternoon, with a familiarisation day on the Friday and an early start to commence racing on the Saturday. Leaving from Gunwharf Quays. We will be back in Cowes for the Saturday evening for a fun pack evening and meal.

Join the Tall Ships Youth Trust for the annual Chilterns Volunteer Support Group fundraiser weekend.
You will join our iconic challenger yacht at 10am Friday morning where you will receive an introductory safety briefing. You will then spend Friday training before heading to Cowes for the night.
You will have an early start Saturday to sail round the island and return to Cowes early evening in time for the fundraising meal Saturday night.
You will complete the voyage the following day with a leisurely motor/sail back to Gunwharf Quays for midday.
