The Solent can be a fascinating but daunting place at night so we have put on this trip to allow us to practice all the skills of sailing the Solent in the dark.
We always need more practice parking too, so this weekend is set up for that as well.
We will do some day sailing but will start later in the day and stay out late to practice navigation in the dark and night pilotage into those tricky unlit harbours. We don't plan to go into Marinas but to stay either at anchor or on a mooring bouy overnight.
This is not a trip for those who want to spend the evening in a marina and in a bar. So do you fancy roughing it?
